From leaf to livelihood

“Because of Grenera’s support, I have a secure market and stable income. Moringa farming gives me better profit and lower risk compared to other crops,” says Kanagaraj proudly.
“Even in dry seasons, moringa grows well. I don’t face much loss due to weather changes,” he adds.

Meet Kanagaraj from Seelampatti,Erode.

I am kanagraj  and I have been cultivating moringa on my 1.5-acre farm in my 2 acres  through contract farming with Grenera Nutrients Pvt Ltd. Growing moringa has transformed my financial stability and given me a steady source of income.

One of the biggest advantages Kanagaraj highlights is the continuous harvest cycle.

Moringa leaves can be harvested every 55 to 60 days, ensuring a steady income year-round, while most other crops provide income only once or twice a year.

The cost of moringa cultivation is relatively low, yet the market price of moringa leaves is attractive.

With minimal maintenance, the profit margin is almost double compared to traditional crops.

Kanagaraj is part of Grenera’s contract farming system, which ensures a fixed rate and regular purchase of moringa leaves. This system reduces market uncertainty and provides farmers with financial security and sustainable income.

With less water requirement, lower cost of cultivation, and continuous income, Moringa Cultivation is becoming one of the most preferred crops in Tamil Nadu and across India.

Moringa farming has proven to be a sustainable and profitable option for many small and medium farmers like Kanagaraj.
